Christian Dior has announced Jonathan Anderson as the new creative director for both men’s and women’s collections, including couture and accessories. This marks a major shift as Maria Grazia Chiuri steps down from her role leading the women’s collections, and Kim Jones, former men’s creative director, left earlier this year. Anderson, known for revitalizing Loewe since 2013, is praised for his strong vision and experience managing large teams within LVMH.

Delphine Arnault, Dior’s CEO, says this change will bring consistency and clarity to the brand’s creative direction, echoing the unified leadership model from Christian Dior’s time. Anderson will present his first men’s collection in June 2025 and his first women’s collection in September 2026. While continuing his own JW Anderson label, Anderson is expected to bring fresh energy and innovation to Dior’s legacy.
This appointment comes at a crucial time as Dior faces challenges in the luxury market, and LVMH looks to Anderson to help drive a creative and commercial revival for the house.
